I'll be short, since that is also the length of my temper: my painting session today did not go well. If it had, I would have another (mostly) finished painting and I would only have to worry about one painting on my docket for the weekend. But the session was shit, I have a mutated canvas upstairs, and I am presently looking at having to build an extra day of time into my already shortening schedule. So this is pretty much how it's going, kids: Unless you e-mail or text me telling me to be on from x time to y time, I am not going to be online until this fucking godforsaken series of paintings is done/Tuesday, when I go into critique and weep bitter fucking tears down my stupid fucking face. The end. In an attempt to make me not use the words "fucking," "shit," "motherfucker," or "cunt" at least once in a sentence for the rest of this entry, I am going to post my steamtrek concepts. It is a pretty good way to cheer me up, regardless of whether plot is offered or otherwise. Follow the cut for more interesting news in more interesting pastures! O HAI, U GUISE! This post has nothing to do with RP, but I wanted to ask you guys something on behalf of a friend of mine named Jen! Some of you know her as Bot if you were back in MAIMED; now, she's all graduated like ~A Big Grown-Up Person~ and is working for Scenarios USA, which is a non-profit that works with gender issues in New York. Right now, Scenarios USA needs some beta readers for a series of screenplays that they'll be going through in January, and although she's asked me to look through some, she was wondering if there were any people that I would know who would be interested in doing this! You'll only get 10 plays and a rubric to mark through and see whether this is a Good Play or a Bad Play, and then you'll send it off -- a short bit of your time is promised, since they're supposed to be for video shorts. Anyway, if any of you guys are interested in this, please comment here so I can send you Jen's work address to e-mail her more! :)

To those who didn't know I was embarking on some Seriously Epic Julies: don't feel obligated to reply to my comments! I was just really bummed that I wasn't able to finish out my Powersplosion fun and was able to devote an entire afternoon to catching up on the Here and Now of Neo. Things I learned include WTF I MISSED A LIVING MUSICAL DAY?! and wow, Queenie and Trish, you are straight psychotic. I mean, straight fucking psychotic. Also, I am surprised with how swift these steamtrek applications are coming out! I'm going to whore my concepts later this week and cannot wait. I'd do it tonight, but whoops painting has to happen instead. EDIT: WHAT A GREAT QUESTION -- Do any of my characters have distinctive catchphrases? If so, which ones would you associate with them?

Oh, hi! You lot may not remember me, but my name's Allison and I occasionally play characters sometimes. That time was not this week, as you can tell based on my being around for all of not at all. Um, technically this isn't an I'M COMING BACK RITE NAO!!!! entry, either -- it's more like I had a spot of time in between class and getting ready for a reception for this particular event (and holy shit, if you're kind enough to check out two links at a time, somebody bid on my chair, holy shit). But (!!!), I'm planning on reacquainting me, myself, and I with all your shining faces this weekend and need just a tiny bit of help with that, if you could be ever-so kind and have the time to do so! Anyway: is there anything at all that I've missed within the last week at neopolis that is in need of any of my characters' attention? Please note that I have a list of comments at large, so if you guys aren't geared for seriously delayed power swap wrap-up, then sorry you will just have to suck it up and deal with my taking a little blast into the past suckers. The past few days have been extraordinarily weird. Yesterday's strange involved a doctor's appointment, the likes of which needs no elaboration; today's involved inexplicable exhaustion (since it's just Tuesday, geez) and cognitive dissonance of the highest order. Brilliant moves on my part today involved staring at the bright red ON switch of the planer in the shop and wondering how to turn it on, cutting the miter on the strainer frame's first stick incorrectly, and fumbling with the pneumatic system hopelessly. I had three men come over at separate intervals and gently assist me in my moments of idiocy and confusion, and all I could think was that art really was imitating life and that I had suddenly woken up in the middle of a powerswap of my own. I hesitate to touch what I have presently on my commissions with a possibly erronous hand as a result, but having a day's break is hardly that bad. Speaking of which: I'm 50% on one piece right now and 25-30% on another. It's looking like I'll have another art dump by the end of the week, and it won't be just some scrungy sketchdump -- although, I have to say that everyone's been quite complimentary about what I did there. I don't really have anything else artsy-fartsy, so I'm going to end this paragraph. See what I meant about dotty reaction times? To quote a certain biopic, I'm not there. Things that are more important for you lot: it looks like I'm going to be a little late with the last ends of powersplosion, and all my apologies save that I have a touch of make-up homework to do that takes precedent. I have an inbox full of outstanding comments right now that I'll get to tomorrow afternoon, since I don't trust myself at the moment to do too much (although, faeriexlights, I'm tagging that initial txt msg), but if there's anything you'd like me to look at that would be super. Otherwise, I am going to gear towards belated shit.

Okay, so even though it is not especially INTELLIGENT for me to do this on a Thursday, I'm trying Yet Another Harebrained Scheme to get back into the RP Groove before POWERSWAP 2009. Les horreurs! It involves a few lists, though, so indulge me in some haberdashery of the linear kind: FAIL!RESOLUTION TO TRUTH SERUM: Ngl, I think a big road block is the fact that I had to go AWOL at a very important juncture of this plot and really have just fallen behind in terms of resolving it. Although I feel like I could backdate Plan A, I would rather be flexible and do Plan B -- but, for those of us that were going to make ~frands~ because of this, I have to forewarn you that it involves cockblocking of actual apology. BASICALLY, dogseesgod, I AM TALKING TO YOU, SO I WANT TO ALTERNATIVE!PLOT AROUND THIS LATER. That way, I can just move onto other things (which I'm going to make sure that Powerswap exaggerates after it's done) and it will be okay. POETRY PROOFING: Okay, so I am retarded enough that I, a person who has a relative disdain for poetry, will have to have to write some of the stuff for a plot. I mean, I don't have to, but it's going to give me a bit of a cherry on the very top.
